The great think about using an electric pan over glass top stoves is that you will not use as much energy to cookfood. This is because the heating element in the frying pan is centralized to only what is needed to achieve the temperature you are looking for. In addition, when you add a lid to the pan, the pressure will allow you to cook faster. It is no wonder there are so many American homes with these kinds of pans in them.

Stainless steel pots and pans are the best way to cook but can be frustrating to use when the handles get hot. After all, who wants to cook with oven mitts on? Turn the heat down and cook the meat for a couple of hours or until it is tender and juicy.
The fact is, you may want to consider one of each version; the smooth stainless steel surface as well as the non stick. This is because not all foods require a non stick fry pan and you would not want to use the non stick surface where exceptionally high temperatures are required. Therefore it just makes good sense to have one of each version. You should use your normal steel surfaced All Clad fry pan if you just want to do normal cooking but if you want to cook things like eggs, pancakes and omelets then, by all means, an anti stick surface is highly recommended.
